BUILDing Black Wealth through Education & Connection

In the latest cohort for the BUILD Black Wealth Incubator Program, we are continuing our crucial work in providing essential education, resources, and networks for the Black community in and around Seattle. The significance of such initiatives cannot be overstated, as they play a pivotal role in empowering and uplifting Black-owned businesses and organizations.

We have made substantial strides in this endeavor through BUILD Black Wealth, having connected with over 40 Black-led businesses and organizations, engaged with over 250 community members, and injected well over $200,000 into the community through this program. These efforts underscore the tangible impact of their work in fostering economic empowerment and growth within the Black community.

This year's program places a strong emphasis on assisting Black-led businesses and organizations in building wealth through labor standards compliance. By equipping them with the knowledge and tools to ensure their businesses are positioned for success in the City of Seattle, BUILD is actively addressing the systemic barriers that have impeded the economic progress of the Black community. Our commitment to driving positive change through the BUILD Black Wealth Incubator Program is commendable and necessary. Our dedication to promoting economic equity and prosperity within the Black community stands as a beacon of hope and progress in the pursuit of a more just and inclusive society.

Join us in celebrating the following businesses/organizations in their participation in our 2024 cohort.

Be sure to follow them on their social media, visit their websites, and learn how you can support their growth, resilience, and sustainability in the Black community.
